The Sydney Sixers have locked in a key piece of their squad with allrounder Hayden Kerr inking a new two-year deal that will see him remain in pink until at least the end of BBL|16.

First making his debut with the Sixers back in BBL|09, Kerr, a two-time Big Bash champion (BBL|09, BBL|10), has built a reputation as one of the club’s most consistent performers.
Collecting 54 wickets and scoring 385 runs across 53 appearances in the Big Bash to date, the all-rounders defining moment in pink came during BBL|11, when he produced one of the most memorable knocks in club history.
Promoted to open in the Challenger Final against the Adelaide Strikers, Kerr struck an unbeaten 98 from 58 balls to seal a triumph for the ages and propel the Sixers into the Final.
Sixers General Manager, Rachael Haynes said the club was thrilled to secure Kerr’s services.

“He brings great energy, he’s a consistent performer and he’s shown he can change games with both bat and ball.

Speaking on his re-signing, Kerr said he was excited to extend his stay with the Sixers.

The Sixers will kick off their KFC BBL|15 season against the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium on Sunday, December 14.
