Sixers young-gun Jordan Silk will have first crack at the West Indies Test side after being named in the Cricket Australia XI to take on the tourists on Wednesday December 2.
Silk, 23, has been named in a 12-man squad that will take on the visitors on Allan Border Field in Brisbane, providing him a great opportunity to tune up prior to BBL|05.

After a modest start to his Sixers career in BBL|03, Silk was the breakout star of the tournament last summer, impressing with his power hitting and eye-catching fielding skills. He finished last season by being named in the Team of the Tournament after smashing 272 runs at a strike-rate of 136 and an average of 54.
His most impressive outing was against the Thunder in Sydney Smash VII when he pulled off the catch of the summer before taking centre stage as he helped the Sixers haul the Thunder's score, chasing 56 from 18 balls and 23 from the final 6 deliveries.

He will gain experience from Test batting coach Michael Di Venuto who will Coach thee side in the Four-Day First Class match, before joining the Sixers in Sydney on Friday 11 December.
