Sixers shine, beat Stars in thriller

The Sixers are heading home with back-to-back wins after a thrilling 4-run victory (DLS method) over the Stars at Jubilee Oval in Melbourne.

New Zealand international Suzie Bates found form, striking 27 from 19 to lift the Sixers total to 134.

Lauren Cheatle (2-13) and Linsey Smith (1-10) picked up early wickets before lightning forced players from the field. Behind by one run when play resumed, the Sixers returned to the field with their backs against the wall.

Defending 7 from the final over, South African international Chloe Tryon was brought into the attack. Tryon (3-2) claimed the wickets of Maia Bouchier and Nicole Faltum on back-to-back balls before dismissing Annabel Sutherland to claim the win.
