The Sydney Sixers have named a 17-player squad for their blockbuster opening clash of the KFC BBL|13 season.
The Sixers will host the Melbourne Renegades at the SCG to kick off their BBL|13 campaign, with the epic bash highlighted by the return of Australian superstar, Steve Smith.
One of the league’s top run-scorers last summer, despite making just five appearances, Smith set the competition alight notching back-to-back hundreds at Coffs Harbour and the SCG.
Smith is now set to face off with World Cup winning teammate Adam Zampa in a must-see meeting as the Sixers begin their hunt for a coveted fourth BBL title.
Sixers new recruits Joel Davies and Mitch Perry have both been named in the extended squad, in addition to NSW product Ryan Hadley who has been named as a local replacement for Hayden Kerr.
As per league rules, Hadley will be required to be named in the starting 12 for tomorrow’s match.
First ball of Friday night's match is scheduled for 7.15pm (AEDT) and will be broadcast live via Channel 7, Fox Cricket and Kayo.
