The Sydney Sixers have named a 17-player squad for their Friday night clash with the Adelaide Strikers at the SCG.
Beginning their season with back-to-back wins, the Sixers currently sit third on the KFC BBL|13 table heading into Friday night’s match.
The Strikers also head to Sydney in form, defeating Sixers crosstown rivals Sydney Thunder by six wickets at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday night.
Last season’s leading wicket-taker, Sean Abbott makes his return to the extended squad after missing the previous match due to personal reasons.
Hayden Kerr also returns to the squad with local replacement Ryan Hadley moved back onto the main roster in place of Steve Smith, with Hadley required to be named in the playing 12 tomorrow night as per league rules.
All-rounder Tom Curran is unavailable for selection, charged with a Level 3 offence under the Cricket Australia Code of Conduct resulting in a 4-match sanction. The Sixers have confirmed they will lodge an appeal against the suspension.
If selected in the starting XI, fan favourite Daniel Hughes will play his 100th BBL match.
First ball of Friday night’s match is scheduled for 7.15pm (AEDT) and will be broadcast live via Foxtel, Kayo and SEN radio.
