The Sydney Sixers have kept an unchanged 17-player squad ahead of their clash with crosstown rivals, Sydney Thunder tomorrow night at Sydney Showground Stadium.
Kicking off their KFC BBL|13 season with three wins on the trot, the Sixers will be looking to bounce back quickly from their narrow defeat against the Melbourne Stars on Boxing Day.
Despite the best efforts of James Vince (83 from 55), the Sixers were unable to get over the line, recording their first loss of the season.
Having met on 23 times across the course of the competition, the Sixers have claimed bragging rights over their crosstown counterparts on 16 of those occasions – and will be looking to add win #17 to the tally tomorrow night.
If selected in the playing XI, the match will also mark the 100th appearance of much-loved clubman, Ben Dwarshuis.
Currently sitting on 99 Big Bash matches, Dwarshuis has 122 wickets to his name – 2nd most for the club, only behind the league's all-time leading wicket-taker, Sean Abbott.
First ball of the Sydney Smash is scheduled for 7.15pm (AEDT) and will be broadcast live via Fox Cricket, Kayo and SEN Radio.
