Sixers win big in Weber WBBL|10 fixture

The Sydney Sixers have secured huge wins in the upcoming season’s schedule, with the complete Weber WBBL|10 fixture unveiled by the league today.
 
The WBBL’s milestone Season 10 is set to usher in a new era for the competition, with a revised structure featuring 40 home-and-away matches and three Finals, with every game more important than ever in the race for the WBBL|10 trophy.
 
In a massive win for the club, Sixers members and fans will have the opportunity to see their team compete in Sydney across the first three weeks of the competition, with the club’s home matches spread throughout the season. 
 

Highlights of the Weber WBBL|10 fixture include:

  • Home matches in Sydney across the first three weeks of the competition
  • Three home matches at North Sydney Oval
  • Hosting crosstown rivals, Sydney Thunder at the SCG on Sunday, November 10
  • An optimised 43-game season, featuring 40 regular season matches and three Finals  


The Sixers will begin their WBBL|10 campaign in Adelaide on Sunday October 27, facing the Melbourne Renegades at Adelaide Oval as part of the league’s Stadium Series.

Charlotte Edwards' side will kick off the first of their home matches hosting reigning champions, the Adelaide Strikers, at North Sydney Oval on Tuesday, November 29 before facing the Melbourne Stars in a Friday night blockbuster at the same venue on November 1.

 

 

Following away trips to Hobart and Melbourne to face the Hurricanes and Stars, the squad will return to Sydney for the highly anticipated Stadium Series clash at the SCG on Sunday, November 10.
 
As announced last week, the Sixers are set to host rivals, Sydney Thunder in the Sydney Smash, with the two sides doing battle at the world-famous venue for a second year running.
 
The Smash will headline a huge day of cricket, with a double-header featuring the Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers prior to the Sixers and Thunder taking the field.

Rounding out the club’s home fixtures, the Sixers will welcome the Brisbane Heat to North Sydney Oval on Thursday, November 14 in the family-friendly timeslot of 3.30pm.
 
In the hunt for a third WBBL trophy to add to their silverware cabinet, the squad will finish their regular season campaign with three fixtures on the road against the Thunder, Scorchers and Heat at Drummoyne Oval, Blundstone Arena and Allan Border Field respectively.
