The Sydney Sixers have named a 14-player squad for their season opener on Monday night against the Melbourne Renegades at the SCG.
Monday night’s match will see long-time Sixers coach, Greg Shipperd, face off against former Sixers assistant – and newly appointed head coach of the Renegades – Cameron White, when the two go head-to-head for the first time.
One of the most consistent sides in the competition for the last decade, the Sixers squad remains relatively unchanged heading into the fourteenth iteration of the Big Bash, with only the retirement of spinner, Steve O’Keefe.
Local replacement Lachlan Shaw comes into the squad for Australian star Steve Smith and will be required to be named in the playing twelve tomorrow as per league rules.
First ball of tomorrow night's match is scheduled for 7.15pm (AEDT) and will be broadcast live across Channel 7, 7Plus, Foxtel and Kayo.
