The Sydney Sixers have named 14-player squad for tomorrow night’s Boxing Day Bash at the SCG.
The Sixers head into the Boxing Day blockbuster on the back of one of the all-time great wins over crosstown rivals, Sydney Thunder, defeating their Western Sydney counterparts at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday night.
Requiring 15 runs from the final over of the night, Jordan Silk (36 not out) and Ben Dwarshuis (20 not out) were the heroes, with Dwarshuis smacking the penultimate delivery for six before securing a single for victory on the final ball.
This year the Boxing Day Bash at the SCG will feature a brand-new live site on The Plaza between the SCG and Allianz Stadium for fans to enjoy the third session of the Boxing Day Test, alongside Merivale food options, live music, family activities and fan zone.
The live-site will be open to the public from 2.30pm and entry is FREE.
First ball of the Boxing Day Bash is scheduled for 6.05pm and will be broadcast live on Seven, 7plus, Foxtel, Kayo Sports or listen live via ABC Sport and SEN. Gates open at the SCG from 5.00pm.
