Player Story

Jack Edwards is one of the most exciting talents in Australian cricket!

Despite only limited experience in the BBL at this stage of his career, he has shown enough for the NSW Blues and other representative sides to indicate that he is a star on the rise.

In just his fifth limited-overs match for the Blues, Edwards became the youngest ever batsman to score a One-Day domestic century when, at 18, he peeled off 116 from 112 balls against Queensland.

A month later, he posted his maiden Sheffield Shield century at the SCG against Tasmania. He became the fourth youngest player to score a First Class century for New South Wales at 18 years and 201 days.

In 2019/20, again Edwards showed his full array of talent against the England Second XI in Hobart. He made 192 for a Cricket Australia XI.

Edwards was also part of the Australian squad during early 2018 that made the Under 19 World Cup Final in New Zealand. Sixers spinner Lloyd Pope was also in that side.

He is joined in the Sixers squad by older brother and fast bowler Mickey Edwards.

Jack is also a more than handy medium pace bowler himself. The young gun already taking six First Class scalps with red ball for the Blues at critical times.
